LWGA Educational Series – Pruning Workshop Feb. 10th 2024

Hello fellow LWGA members –

As part of our ongoing LWGA educational series, I would like to invite you to a vineyard pruning workshop to help demystify the process. Whether you manage your vineyard yourself, or simply would like to know what your vineyard managers are doing, this is the group session for you.

I will be demonstrating how to look at the vines for balance, renewal strength and vigor in your pruning decisions.  You might also be interested in the difference between spur pruning and cane pruning and whether or not to switch over in your vineyards.

We will be talking about all that, and more on Saturday, February 10 at 11 AM in my vineyard, Raisin d’Detre (why do grapes exist?). Workshop should go for about 1.5 hours.
