    <p style=”text-align: center;”><span style=”color: #424242; font-family: Helvetica Neue, Helvetica, Arial, sans-serif;”><span style=”caret-color: #424242; -webkit-text-size-adjust: auto;”>Hi – we’re new vineyard owners. I checked our Brix this weekend 8/2 and we’re at 14 for Grenache and 10-11 Syrah. We’re on a slope and get considerable Oakland fog. I’ve read about early harvests this year. It seems like we’re still pretty far out and looking to a mid or late sep harvest? Is that correct expectation and expected? Love any help or thoughts! (Grapes are a mix of purple and green turning purple).</span></span></p>

    <span style=”caret-color: #000000; color: #000000; font-size: medium;”>This summer has been relatively cool so far, so there shouldn’t be any reason for an early harvest. Our NOET Vineyards is located on the Moraga hillside next to St. Mary’s, and we also get cooling fog rolling in. Our harvest has typically taken place in late September or early October, and we usually aim for a Brix level of around 24.</span>

    From Member David Hicks: Both of those varieties are rhone clones and used to warm summers not cool and fog   No fog in the rhone. Until this week the season has not been overly warm but very consistent. Even with the early bid break.   Given ur location ur guess of harvest time is maybe correct.  If ur vineyard is small u could place a vine height wind screen on the windward side and see if that helps?   David Hicks
